Zorzi South were engaged by a Perth family seeking to build a luxury 2 storey home on the beach front in Dunsborough. The design brief was for a modern, comfortable Beach House, something to stand out from the crowd. The home needed to be user friendly, low maintenance but at the same time built to an exceptionally high standard and incorporating the highest level of finishes. In brief, a Top End home, suitable in all aspects to its location.

With a construction time of fourteen months, this project was always going to be challenging, especially in the height of the building boom in the south west. The size of the home (500m2) and the level of finishes the client expected raised a whole new spectrum of potential issues. Nonetheless, the home was delivered to the clients in the week before Christmas, and exceeded all of the standards expected by the clients.

This was again proven at the Master Builders Association South West Building Excellence Awards 2008 with the home taking out 4 awards. These being:

• Overall Best Country Home
• Best Contract Home over $1.5M
• Excellence in Fitting Out Carpentry
• Excellence in Building Practice

The home then won at the 2009 Master Builders Association Building Excellence Awards:

• Overall Best Country Home 2009
• Finalist for WA Top Home Award 2009
